Hollow Tining Greens

Today we hollow tined all of our greens. We took out a bigger core than we have done the past couple of years, 5/8's of an inch. This will allow us to get a lot more sand down into the greens, leaving us in a good position for the start of the season. We will start top dressing tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be kind in March and the recovery process won't be too long.

Winter Tree Work

Just a few before and after shots of some of the tree work we done this year. In the areas we done, we cut all branches on the trees up to head height and cleared out all the leaves and other debris, making it much easier to find balls and play recovery shots, thus speeding up play. We hope that over the next 2 winters we can do this to all our spinney areas. We also cleared some other areas to make holes more visually appealing, like the island at the 15th green and the bushes at the front of the lake on 18.
